The Georgia Ports Authority internship program is designed to provide the students with the opportunity to gain supervised experience in a professional work setting. The company gains an opportunity to help the community by participating in the educational process and to identify potential applicants for the future.
GPA offers a full-time paid internship to college students who are looking for valuable work experience and exposure to the GPA business environment. It could also help you with educational credits towards your specified degree.
Internships give students a chance to learn valuable skills that could one day translate into full-time employment. It also provides GPA with the perfect avenue to study the students’ valuable contributions in the workplace.
Our interns are put to work alongside staff professionals. They work on major projects throughout the summer and at the end of the program, the interns present their project to Mr. Marchand, our Executive Director.
If you are an undergraduate college student and are interested in pursuing a summer internship with the Georgia Ports Authority, resumes with cover letters will be accepted beginning March 1, 2008. Please note: If you have interned with us previously, please indicate this in your cover letter.
Resumes with cover letters can be sent via mail or email.
