Summary

The project consists of the rehabilitation of approximately 39 acres of existing paved container fields at the Garden City Terminal.  The work includes milling of existing pavement, asphalt leveling and overlay of existing pavement, and construction of approximately 4.5 acres of new pavement, construction of approximately 19,000 lineal feet of concrete equipment runways, demolition of existing water distribution system and construction of a new water distribution system, modifications to existing storm drainage system, removal of existing high mast lights and construction of 14 new high mast lights with associated duct banks and motor control center. The project includes a storm drainage detention basin and other associated work.

Specific project insurance requirements are determined on an individual project basis. However, all contractors performing work on the GPA’s property must comply with the GPA’s basic insurance requirements.

  • General Liability: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
  • General Auto: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
  • Workers’ Compensation: Proof of Coverage

All projects of $40,000 or more require Payment and Performance Bonds.
