Summary

The project consists of the design of approximately 9,000 feet of rail track that extends from the Georgia Central Railroad mainline into the Mega Site property to the area near the Mitsubishi plant (currently under construction, and will consist of four separate contracts to include 1.) Clearing & Grubbing, 2.) Civil Sitework, 3.) Access Track Work and 4.) Access bridge over Savannah-Ogeechee Canal(Design Build).

The first package for this project, Clearing & Grubbing, may be viewed under a seperate project.  See Project ID#0911-0378A.  This contract is currently pending.

Basic Requirements
for Bidders:

Specific project insurance requirements are determined on an individual project basis. However, all contractors performing work on the GPA’s property must comply with the GPA’s basic insurance requirements.

  • General Liability: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
  • General Auto: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
  • Workers’ Compensation: Proof of Coverage

All projects of $40,000 or more require Payment and Performance Bonds.
