From market studies to inland cost analysis, the Marketing & Business Development Department provides a multitude of tasks to support the sales initiatives and long-term growth strategy of the Georgia Ports Authority (GPA). As part of Marketing’s responsibility to identify and develop business opportunities on behalf of the Authority and its customers, the department also actively monitors global market conditions as well as cargo activity via competing ports to aggressively target cargo that is better suited to transit Georgia’s ports.
In addition to these responsibilities, the department is responsible for all of the GPA’s trade communications. These include:
- Advertising
- Public relations
- Trade shows
- Media relations
- Collateral development
- Direct mail
- Video development
- Speech development
- Website development and maintenance
- Presentation development
These customer-driven communications promote Georgia’s ports as productive, cost-effective conduits for global trade and investment.
