The Engineering and Facilities Maintenance Department of the Georgia Ports Authority plans and develops capital improvement projects for the Authority’s facilities, equipment and major maintenance projects consistent with the Authority’s overall mission and policies. All projects are planned and designed in a safe and cost effective manner considering the requirements of the Authority’s operations and in an environmentally conscious manner.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PROJECT BIDDERS:
Specific project insurance requirements are determined on an individual project basis. However, all contractors performing work on the GPA’s property must comply with the GPA’s basic insurance requirements.
- General Liability: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
- General Auto: $1,000,000 Limit (per occurrence)
- Workers’ Compensation: Proof of Coverage
All projects of $40,000 or more require Payment and Performance Bonds.
