State of the Port Address

At the annual State of the Port address hosted by the Brunswick-Golden Isles Chamber of Commerce Oct. 19, Georgia Ports Authority Executive Director Griff Lynch said the GPA increased auto processing capacity at Colonel’s Island Terminal by 50 percent over the past 12 months, all of which has been absorbed by processors and manufacturers. Read more here.

The GPA Mega Rail

By 2020, the Port of Savannah’s Mega Rail Project will double the terminal’s rail lift capacity to 1 Million containers per year, and position Savannah to rapidly increase service to inland markets from Atlanta to Memphis, St. Louis, Chicago and the Ohio Valley.
